Allen’s practice encompasses a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, including environmental, reinsurance and insurance coverage, intellectual property, real estate, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, products liability, telecommunications, shareholder disputes in close corporations, and contractual disputes in a wide variety of industries. He has had first-chair responsibility for numerous matters before state and federal trial and appellate courts and arbitration panels.

Among the clients Allen has represented are one of the largest specialty stores in the country, a publicly held clothing manufacturer, insurance companies, a major reinsurer, a reinsurance broker, a waste recycling company, an Australian software developer, an Italian religious art publisher, a major private lender, a nationally known greeting card manufacturer, a telephone debit card seller, a long-distance telephone reseller, a tour packager, commercial landlords and tenants, a manufacturer of designer seating, and a manufacturer of institutional playground equipment and site furniture.
Previous Work
Before joining ArentFox Schiff, Allen was a litigation partner at a prominent New York law firm. He began his career as an assistant district attorney in Manhattan.

Life Beyond the Law
Allen plays the clarinet in the Manhattanville College-Community Orchestra and at his temple. He has three children and is married to a criminal defense attorney who specializes in post-conviction representation.
