Schiff Joins Law Firm Antiracism Alliance As Charter Member

Schiff Hardin LLP is proud to announce the firm is a charter member of the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance (LFAA), a coalition of about 250 law firms focused on identifying and dismantling systemic racism in the legal profession.

The LFAA seeks to leverage the resources of the private bar in partnership with legal services organizations to amplify the voices of communities and individuals oppressed by racism and to better use the law as a vehicle for change that benefits communities of color.   

“Schiff Hardin is deeply committed to pro bono work with our legal service organization partners, where we have been successful in securing justice for many individuals and communities of color,” said Chief Talent Officer Jill Attkisson. “We are thrilled to join the LFAA, which allows us to collaborate across the legal industry to accelerate and amplify our collective impact.”

In addition to its work with the LFAA, Schiff has launched a three-year diversity and inclusion plan to help fight systemic racism and represent people underserved by the legal system, and to continue to evolve our own firm. The Schiff Hardin Foundation has provided donations to organizations that pursue racial justice and advance the rights of Black Americans.

Attkisson, Managing Partner Marci Eisenstein, and Pro Bono Coordinating Partner Paula Ketcham attended the first LFAA summit, virtually held over a two-day period.
