Schiff Hardin Hosted Cristo Rey Students in Street Law Program
Schiff Hardin LLP hosted the Spring 2019 Street Law/National Association for Law Placement (NALP) Legal Diversity Pipeline Program, which encourages the pursuit of legal careers by young people from groups currently underrepresented in the legal profession.
Schiff worked with students from Chicago’s Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in a day-long workshop that provided role modeling, career pathway information, support, and the opportunity to step into the shoes of a legal professional and engage in simulated legal problem-solving.
Street Law is a non-profit organization that provides practical, participatory education about law, democracy, and human rights, and NALP is a non-profit that provides career development for legal professionals and tracks statistics about the profession in the U.S. including the recruitment, hiring, retention, and promotion of under-represented groups in the law.
