Hunter Carter and Cristina Carvalho Named Among Latinvex’s 2024 Top 100 Lawyers
ArentFox Schiff is pleased to announce that International Practice Co-Leader Hunter T. Carter and Partner Cristina A. Carvalho have been named to Latinvex’s 2024 Top 100 Lawyers list, an annual ranking of leading attorneys from international law firms that serve as go-to advisors for Latin American companies.
This is Hunter’s 10th consecutive year earning this recognition, and he was listed in the Arbitration & Litigation category. Cristina was recognized in the Corporate/Merger & Acquisitions (M&A), Energy, and Intellectual Property (IP) Rights categories, and this is her ninth year in a row being listed.
Hunter is an international litigator with an emphasis on Latin America. As a party representative and as an International Chamber of Commerce arbitrator, Hunter handles significant commercial matters across the region. He also helps conduct internal corporate investigations and provides guidance on compliance with anti-corruption laws. In addition, he is a recognized advocate for human rights, having advised on marriage equality initiatives in numerous Latin American countries, and having tried a case involving torture against Chile in the Inter-American Court on Human Rights.
Cristina, a native of Brazil, serves as US counsel for major Latin American corporations. Throughout her career, she has used her knowledge and experience in the United States and Brazil to advise clients on strategies for navigating different legal systems and cultures to realize opportunities in both mature and emerging markets.
