Schiff Hardin LLP is proud to announce that the firm and four of its attorneys have been ranked in the ninth edition of IAM Patent 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Professionals, a guide that identifies top patent professionals based on 1,800 interviews with private practice and in-house professionals.
Schiff was ranked in the competitive Illinois jurisdiction for its work in patent litigation. The 2020 IAM 1000 guide said that the firm’s lawyers are “never less than 100% trial ready,” and that the patent litigation team “shines for its spirited representation of generic drug companies.”
Intellectual Property Practice Group Co-Leaders Imron Aly and Sailesh Patel were recognized as individual leaders that make Schiff’s practice “a force to be reckoned with.” The guide quoted client feedback that Imron “possesses a unique blend of top-flight trial skill and deep scientific expertise,” and noted that Sal “has huge expertise in Hatch-Waxman litigation, and is well versed in life sciences industry issues and regulatory law more broadly.” Also ranked this year is Partner Kevin Nelson. He is recognized for his patent litigation contribution as well as his strategic counsel on legal and regulatory biosimilars matters.
In addition, Patent Prosecution Group Leader Laura Brutman, was highlighted for her quality patent prosecution work in New York for powerful information technology and semiconductor entities.
The 2020 IAM Patent 1000 guide is compiled following a five-month interview process to identify the leading patent attorneys and the markets in which they practice, and we are proud to have our partners included in the guide.
