Bouker Recognized by DC Appleseed for Dedication to the District of Columbia

Through nonprofit partnerships and thousands of hours of pro bono time from attorneys and business and community leaders, DC Appleseed has spent the past 30 years striving to give the residents of the District of Columbia a fair shot at health, stability, opportunity, and empowerment.

Jon represents clients in a wide variety of general business and government relations matters before the District of Columbia government, the US Congress, the White House, and federal agencies. He is the co-chair of ArentFox Schiff’s Pro Bono Committee. He is a former chair of DC Appleseed, as well as a former chair of DC Vote and the District of Columbia Affairs Section of the DC Bar. He currently serves as chair of the UDC Law School Foundation, the DC Federal Law Enforcement Nominating Commission, which helps selects federal District Court Judges in DC, and as a Trustee of the Federal City Council.  Jon also has served on the boards of the Access to Justice Commission, the DC Public Library Foundation, the National Women’s History Museum and the Woolly Mammoth Theatre.

In 2023, Jon received the DC Bar’s 2023 William J. Brennan Jr. Award, presented biennially to a DC Bar member who has demonstrated exceptional achievement and made a significant impact to the pursuit and equality of equal justice. Jon and the firm had previously been recognized with DC Appleseed’s Community Service Award, for contributions to DC voting rights, and the CAEAR Coalition’s Partnership Award for work on behalf of those living with HIV/AIDS.

Jon was honored at “Securing DC Appleseed,” the organization’s premier event for 2024, honoring their 30-year legacy.
