ArentFox Schiff Represents Unsecured Creditors’ Committee Counsel in Winc, Inc. Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, Negotiates Settlement for Creditors
Our Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Practice represents the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Winc, Inc., et al. Winc, Inc. and its affiliated companies filed Chapter 11 in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Winc (NYSE American: WBEV) is a wine club, wholesaler, and online retailer. Founded in 2012, Winc focuses on “Next Gen” consumers. Winc ships proprietary bottles direct to customers, promoting cost savings and convenience by cutting out middlemen.
On January 23, 2023, Winc closed on a sale of substantially all of its assets in a transaction that incorporated a multi-party settlement negotiated by ArentFox Schiff on behalf of the Committee. The settlement preserves key assets for the bankruptcy estate and provides for the creation of a trust for the benefit of unsecured creditors.
George P. Angelich, Justin Kesselman, and James Britton are leading this matter. ArentFox Schiff advises clients across the country in every aspect of distressed situations, bankruptcy proceedings, and financial restructurings.
