ArentFox Schiff Represents Black Owners of Solar Services in Receiving $6.3M Award from DOE
ArentFox Schiff represented the Black Owners of Solar Services (BOSS) in connection with its $6.3 million cooperative agreement awarded by the US Department of Energy (DOE).
The agreement establishes a regional effort to coordinate and train minority-owned businesses on how to apply for DOE funding and access DOE programs, benefits, services, and opportunities.
BOSS, which is the nation’s largest organization of African American energy professionals working in the solar photovoltaic space, aims to lead solutions for sustained access to equitable opportunities in clean energy production, distribution, and storage for Black-owned businesses.
The agreement with BOSS supports DOE’s Justice40 Initiative to increase parity in clean energy technology, stimulate clean energy enterprise creation, and create clean energy jobs and training for disadvantaged and underserved communities.
ArentFox Schiff’s Government Contracts team counsels clients on how to obtain, perform, and keep government contracts and grants – and to navigate the statutes, regulations, investigations, audits, and other procedures that are integral to doing business with the government.
