Arent Fox’s Intellectual Property and International Trade Practices Rated Among Best in World by Chambers Global
Washington, DC — For the third consecutive year, Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business has included Arent Fox’s Intellectual Property and International Trade practices in its worldwide rankings.
In addition, five attorneys are singled out by Chambers Global 2014 as leading lawyers, including four International Trade partners. Managing Partner Matthew J. Clark was named a leader in his field and described as “a spectacular lawyer and a supreme advocate.” Chambers highlighted his work advising the government of Québec before the Court of International Arbitration in a softwood lumber case. Matthew Nolan, head of Arent Fox’s International Trade practice, is recommended for his work advising a leading Mexican tomato producer “on a trade dispute regarding the alleged dumping of tomatoes in the US market.”
International Trade partner Kay C. Georgi was lauded for being “very responsive and very helpful,” while being “particularly highly regarded for her work in export controls.” Partner John Gurley was recommended in “both customs and trade relief proceedings” and for representing a leading Chinese manufacturer in the headline-grabbing US trade investigation of the Chinese solar panel industry.
