Arent Fox's Darrell Gay and Temitope Yusuf Honored at Legal Defense Fund Awards Gala
NEW YORK, NY - On November 4, Arent Fox partner Darrell Gay and senior associate Temitope Yusuf were honored at the 2015 Legal Defense Fund 29th Annual National Equal Justice Awards Dinner in New York City.
They were recognized for their years of service representing LDF as outside counsel on LDF’s internal labor and employment matters. Darrell has represented LDF for over 25 years. Arent Fox was also specifically recognized for its efforts.
New York Managing Partner Andrew Silfen, partner David Dubrow, and counsel Paul T. Williams joined Darrell and Tope in celebrating this accomplishment at the dinner. “LDF was founded by Thurgood Marshall in 1940 to fight for racial justice. Since its inception, LDF has been in the forefront of the most compelling civil and human rights challenges in our country,” said Mr. Silfen. “It was truly a special evening and I wanted to share my profound respect, admiration and pride in LDF’s recognition of Darrell, Tope and Arent Fox and personally thank Darrell and Tope for their efforts and contributions to the LDF.”
This year’s Awards Dinner commemorated the 75th anniversary of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. The Honorable Eric H. Holder, Jr. received the Thurgood Marshall Lifetime Achievement Award and Atlantic Philanthropies and Ford Foundation were awarded the National Equal Justice Award.
