Arent Fox Named Unsecured Creditors Committee Counsel for Walker County Hospital and Juno USA
Arent Fox is pleased to announce that it is representing the official committee of unsecured creditors in the cases of Walker County Hospital Corp. and Juno USA LP.
Walker County Hospital Corp. is the nonprofit operator of Huntsville Memorial Hospital, a Joint Commission-accredited, not-for-profit acute care community hospital located in Huntsville, TX. The hospital was founded in 1927 in memory of those lost in World War I and has since provided health care services to the residents of Walker County and surrounding communities. Houston Business Journal reports the hospital operator “listed estimated assets of between $10 million and $50 million and estimated liabilities of between $10 million and $50 million, according to the voluntary petition filed in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas on Nov. 11.”
Juno USA LP was a popular ride-hailing app serving New York City and the surrounding region that ceased operations earlier this year. The company cites the City’s minimum wage mandate as the primary cause of their financial difficulties and announced on Nov. 19 that they “and five of its affiliates filed voluntary petitions in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware seeking relief under the provisions of Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code.”
Both engagements are being led by New York Managing Partner and Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Practice Leader Andrew I. Silfen and Partner George P. Angelich.
Arent Fox’s Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring practice has been recognized Forbes as one of the best and most recommended firms for bankruptcy and financial restructuring counseling among corporate law firms in America.
