Arent Fox Launches Industry Legal Blog “Managing OSHA”
Washington, DC — Arent Fox LLP, with one of the only practice groups in the country composed of attorneys focused exclusively on Occupational Safety and Health Administration matters, is announcing the launch of Managing OSHA, a legal blog that offers critical but practical advice on a broad range of workplace safety issues.
Managing OSHA aims to provide employers in the chemical, refining, manufacturing, and food industries with advice and practical tips to navigate through and comply with federal and state occupational safety and health regulations. The blog’s goal is to help readers stay abreast of the rapidly changing regulatory environment by offering the most up-to-date health and safety information available.
Mark S. Dreux, who is nationally recognized for his work representing employers and trade associations in all aspects of the OSH Act, leads Arent Fox’s OSHA practice and is the principal author on the blog. His practice focuses on counseling clients in regulatory compliance with the standards and regulations which OSHA and the state plans have promulgated, investigating significant workplace incidents, managing OSHA inspections, contesting OSHA citations, defending employers in OSHA enforcement actions, conducting safety and health audits and due diligence reviews, and engaging in regulatory advocacy.
Arent Fox’s nationally recognized OSHA practice is differentiated by not being composed of Labor & Employment generalists who occasionally engage in OSHA matters. Instead, the group stands out for having full-time OSHA practitioners. With extensive experience, Arent Fox offers clients the counsel they need to navigate the most complex compliance and litigation issues. The group also offers a practical approach to safety and health issues in the workplace and, when necessary, works closely with other practice groups to provide comprehensive, solution-oriented legal services.
The OSHA team has experience representing employers and trade associations in a wide range of industries, including chemical and petrochemical, refining, electric utility, manufacturing, construction, baking and food services. The group routinely appears before federal and state courts and agencies on OSHA enforcement matters and related civil and criminal litigation. Arent Fox also represents major trade associations in OSHA rulemaking proceedings and in legislative and policy matters before Congress and other federal agencies.
