Sawula Quoted on Schiff’s Disability Inclusion Efforts
Partner Andrew Sawula, co-founder and leader of the firm’s Disability Inclusion Group, explained how making disability accommodations available to all attorneys helps combat the stigma associated with having a physical or mental health disability.
The firm has installed technology in three conference rooms in the Chicago office to assist attorneys with hearing loss and automatic door openers on some doors. Schiff also launched a comprehensive firm-wide wellness initiative in August that prioritizes self-care and addresses all aspects of physical and mental health.
Andy said, “By bringing the issues in the open and providing programming available to everyone, it helps everyone—including those with mental health issues.”
