Fitts Quoted on Board Diversity in Infrastructure Funds

Partner Sarah Fitts discussed the increasing demand for diversity on boards of directors among infrastructure funds.
Sarah, who is a New York board member of the Women’s Infrastructure Network, shared her experience being contacted by a recruiter for an infrastructure fund looking to bring on more senior-level women.
“The firm’s management had decided that the all-male environment was so toxic and the only way to fix them was bringing women in,” she said.
Regarding research that shows pension funds and commercial banks lagging behind investment banks in moving toward gender balance in the workforce, Sarah said “There’s movement in that direction, but it’s not a stampede.”
