Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits Streamlines Portfolio, Sells Three Wine Brands As Part of Growth Strategy

Arent Fox advised Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, a leading importer and marketer of award-winning wines and spirits from around the world, in the sale of three wine brands in its portfolio to Total Beverage Solution, a full-service national importer and supplier of niche beer, wine, and spirits.

As part of the deal, Total Beverage Solution will acquire 100% of the Eppa Sangria, Skyfall Vineyards, and Ruta 22 brands. The sale was effective December 18, 2020.

Growth Strategy

The transaction is part of Deutsch’s larger effort to streamline its portfolio through the lens of a new five-year strategy.
The strategy is designed to help drive ambitious growth in low lux wines and super premium spirits by creating space and organizational focus within the wholesaler network.

Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, founded in 1981, has a portfolio of award-winning wine brands from around the world, as well as award-winning spirits, including Redemption Whiskey, Bib & Tucker Bourbon, and Gray Whale Gin.
