De Martino Quoted on Nasdaq Rules Change for Chinese IPOs

Partner Ralph De Martino, chair of the firm’s Asia Practice Group, was quoted on Nasdaq Inc’s recent moves to tighten restrictions and slow down approvals of initial public offerings (IPOs) of small Chinese companies.
Ralph, who advises Chinese companies on their IPOs, said, “Nasdaq’s concern about low liquidity and high volatility in the marketplace brought about by such Chinese IPOs has become very obvious since mid-2018.”
Nasdaq originally proposed changes to the listing rules in October 2018, and the changes took effect in August 2019.
