ABA’s 16th Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference

The Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference brings together speakers from private practice and government agencies for robust panels and dialogues. Protected Concerted Activity has been and continues to be a hot topic in labor law. Join Darrell Gay, who will be speaking alongside Kena Cador of Beeson, Tayer & Bodine, Letitia Silas of the University of California, and Angela Thompson of Communication Workers of America, for a timely discussion on the current state of protected concerted activity, as viewed by the NLRB and its General Counsel (GC Memorandum 21-03: Effectuation of the National Labor Relations Act Through Vigorous Enforcement of the Mutual Aid or Protection and Inherently Concerted Doctrines). The panelist will also discuss recent cases considering these policies and more expansive views of protected concerted activity as a political and social justice advocacy tool and as a bulwark against workplace discrimination.
