The Private Clients, Trusts & Estate practice is sponsoring the annual RPTE National CLE Conference April 26-29, 2022.

In addition to sponsoring, five ArentFox Schiff attorneys will be speaking. Stephen Liss is serving as program chair and speaker. He is a panelist for “The Corporate Transparency Act – Welcome to the Future.” In this session, they will discuss the CTA and the implementation of regulations to create a national registry of entity ownership. Stephen is also a panelist for “Caring for Yourself While Caring for Others.” The panel will address the growing issue of balancing being a caregiver and being a lawyer, focusing on emotional balance, wellness balance, and the ability to meet the demands of the job and family throughout the day.

Brian Janowsky is a panelist for “Fixing a GST SNAFU.” This session concerns improper allocation of generation skipping transfer tax and will focus on common errors and the tools available to fix them, including late allocations, qualified severance, and 9100 relief.

Christine Quigley is program chair and speaker for “Hot Topics in Business Planning.” This session will cover recent and noteworthy cases and guidance impacting business planning.

Kristin Niver is moderating the panel “Role of Affordable Housing Programs in The Biden Administration’s Social Safety Net Legislation.” Topics will include HUD updates and budget, tax credits, community revitalization funds, and other legislation-related updates.

Melisa Seyhun is a panelist for “What’s Old Is New Again – Tax Uncertainty Or, How’s Your 2022 Going?” The panel will discuss hot topics in legislation and the latest tax developments and planning ideas.
