Stephen Liss, Melisa Seyhun, and Joanna Morrison will present at the 33rd Annual RPTE Virtual National CLE Conference.

Melisa is the program chair and a speaker for “The Basics of Life Insurance in a Changing World” panel. The panel will provide an overview of commonly used life insurance products, including basic structures and rules. They will also discuss the updated transfer for value regulations and how planners can implement strategies serving the business needs of estate planning clients. This program is on April 21 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. EDT

Stephen is the program chair and a speaker and Joanna is a panelist for “The Defined Value Clause – No Longer Exotic.” The panel will discuss the history of valuation clauses and how clients can benefit from the certainty of well-crafted valuation clauses. This program is on April 21 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. EDT

For the “Successor Trustees and Section 672(c): A Prison of Our Own Making?” program, Stephen is the chair and a panelist. It is common to prohibit “related or subordinate” parties from serving as successor trustees. Overuse of this restriction may be limiting options for clients. This panel will explore this limitation and examine options for drafting successor trustee provisions. This program is on April 22 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. EDT
