Matthew Wilkerson

Matt’s practice is focused specifically on litigation, licensing, and monetizing clients’ intellectual property in the biological, chemical, and biotechnological arts. He also helps clients prosecute and strategize their intellectual property portfolios. Matt has spent his career working at the intersections of law, technology, and business as a co-founder of two medical device start-ups. Before practicing law, he held multiple leadership positions in the U.S. Army, both stateside and abroad.

Boards, Memberships & Certifications

Matt spent several years as a youth wrestling coach for Beat the Streets Inc. in Chicago, helping teach life lessons through the sport of wrestling, as well as provide academic and athletic opportunities and resources. He is also a volunteer with Love Takes Root (LTR), a non-profit striving to improve the lives of children worldwide through housing, health, and education. Matt has led four separate volunteer groups to help with LTR’s project at La Concorde School and Orphanage in Jacmel, Haiti.

After completing ROTC at Bucknell University, Matthew Wilkerson was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army Reserve (USAR) Medical Service Corps. He served through three activations and is still serves in the USAR, holding the rank of Captain.
