Marissa is an Associate in the Los Angeles office. She works primarily with the Labor and Employment group and Complex Litigation group. Marissa assists with various matters pertaining to complex litigation, as well as employment matters and assisting employers at every stage of the litigation process, from prelitigation disputes to class certification hearings and trials.

Previous Work

Marissa first joined the firm as a Summer Associate. Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Marissa served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Justice C. Shannon Bacon of the New Mexico Supreme Court as well as a judicial extern for the Honorable Nicole M. Heeseman at the Governor George Deukmajian Courthouse. Prior to that, she was a paralegal at a Family Law and Personal Injury law firm.

While attending law school, Marissa was an editor of the California Law Review and Berkeley Business Law Journal. Marissa also did pro bono work for the Animal Law Advocacy Project and also competed in the McBaine Honors Moot Court Competition.

Professional Activities

Marissa regularly engages in pro bono work across several areas of law. Primarily, Marissa assists in legal work for LGBTQ+ nonprofits in employment disputes.

Life Beyond the Law

Outside of work, Marissa enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and cats, Charles and Henry, and enjoys running and being outdoors as much as possible.
